What certifications does IIS hold?

IIS is certified to AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001, and is ITAR registered. All inspection equipment is calibrated to NIST-traceable standards.

Can IIS handle ITAR-controlled projects?

Yes. IIS is ITAR registered and has the procedures and controlled-access facilities to handle defense-related technical data and hardware.

What is Metbase and who is it for?

Metbase is IIS's proprietary inspection data management software, developed for precision manufacturers who need to capture, manage, and report CMM and dimensional inspection data. It's designed for aerospace, defense, and industrial quality labs.

Does IIS perform First Article Inspection (FAI)?

Yes. IIS performs AS9102-compliant First Article Inspections with full documentation packages including balloon drawings, dimensional reports, and material certifications.

What materials can IIS machine?

IIS regularly machines a wide range of materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, brass, and engineering plastics. Contact us with specific material requirements.

How do I submit a Purchase Order?

Purchase orders can be submitted to PO@iismet.com. Please include your PO number, part number(s), quantities, required ship date, and delivery address.

How long does a typical quote take?

Standard RFQ responses are typically provided within 2–5 business days depending on complexity. Expedited quoting may be available — contact RFQ@iismet.com for urgent requests.

Can IIS support customers outside the Pacific Northwest?

Yes. While IIS is based in Clackamas, Oregon, we serve customers across the United States and can accommodate shipping and logistics for parts and documentation.
